Senior Family Advisor

Terry Cook is the managing principal of Parcion Private Wealth; an independent multi-family office that partners with business owners, entrepreneurs, and their families to optimize wealth events and beyond through smart planning, strong advocacy and prudent investment management. With nearly 30 years of experience, Terry has designed Parcion Private Wealth as the next step in helping his clients preserve the legacy they’ve built to support their families and communities.

Prior to founding Parcion, Terry was a managing director and founder of the Cascade Group of UBS Private Wealth Management. Throughout his career, Terry has focused on providing advanced planning around cash flow modeling, wealth transfer goals, customized investment policies and guidance through major liquidity events.

As a leader in the community, Terry serves on the national board for the Institute for Functional Medicine and is a board member and past board chair for Big Brothers Big Sisters of Puget Sound and the Ducks Unlimited Seattle Chapter.

He also supports Seattle Children Hospital, Hopelink, and lectures regularly for the Lundquist College of Business at the University of Oregon. Terry has a son and two daughters. A resident of Yarrow Point, Washington, Terry is an avid cyclist, is committed to fitness and nutrition, and enjoys hunting and fishing.

Brendan Sullivan
Chief Operating Officer

As Chief Operating Officer at Parcion Private Wealth, Brendan presides over the daily management of all things related to business, from all aspects of technology and business operations. With more than 15 years in the finance industry, Brendan’s expertise is in creating significant support for the CEO and operational excellence within the firm.    His experience and deep understanding of independently owned advisory businesses makes him an integral leader at the firm’s executive level.

Prior to joining Parcion, Brendan spent several years at HighTower Advisors and Charles Schwab Institutional.  Most recently, he served as the Chief Operating Officer at Sound Legacy Wealth Advisors. He has worked with national firms with over $70 billion in Assets Under Management (AUM) and supported more than 200 advisors, to boutique capital market firms serving ultra-high-net-worth clients.

Brendan earned his Bachelor of Science Degree with a minor in History from the private institution of Roger Williams University. He holds designations from the Miller Heiman Strategic Training, Business and Flawless Consulting Training, A Peter Block Company, FINRA Securities Licenses, and Decker Communications. 

Brendan’s personal interests include all things outdoors, from surfing and beach volleyball in Southern California, fly fishing mountain rivers both domestic and international, to helicopter skiing and earning certifications in Avalanche training Level-3, Ski Patrol rescue, to his EMT training. Brendan also enjoys quality time with his wife and their three active, energetic sons.

Sarah Kaler
Chief People and Culture Officer

Sarah Kaler is the Chief People and Culture Officer of Parcion Private Wealth.  Sarah leads Parcion's people-centric strategy and talent management to enable the critical work of Parcion’s mission and vision; sustaining its trajectory and impact as a world-class purpose-led brand known for it’s best-in-class talent and legendary service delivery.

For 20+ years, she has developed business executives, CEOs and their teams at high growth start-ups, exclusive firms, global brands and Fortune 500 companies—including lululemon athlet­ica, Google, Whole Foods, Amazon, Facebook, Hulu, Disney, PepsiCo, Intel, Accenture, Cisco, Hilton Hotels, Levi’s, SoFi and Microsoft.

Prior to joining Parcion, she spent 10 years in senior executive roles at lululemon building one of the most iconic global brands and world-class people-centric cultures. During her meteoric rise, Sarah acquired expertise across many verticals including: talent acquisition and management, succession planning, leadership development, strategy, operations, brand differentiation and loyalty. 

She is also the Founder of SoulPowered, a leadership development, executive education and research firm focused primarily on the advancement and development of women in leadership.

Sarah's work and thought leadership has been featured in Forbes, Inc, Huffington Post, Entrepreneur, Business Insider, Yahoo News, Fox News, Thrive Global, Reader's Digest, NYLON Magazine and more.

She holds certifications from The Coaches Training Institute, The Marcus Buckingham Companies and the International Coach Federation. She has a BA in alternative medicine from the Evergreen College. She lives in Bellevue, WA with her family.

John De Carvalho, CFA®
Head of Research & Analytics, Principal

John joins Parcion with considerable wealth management and leadership experience, previously serving as Chief Investment Officer at two large Seattle area Registered Investment Advisors. He is adept at working with clients, ranging from business owners, corporate executives, families, and institutions, to help them realize their goals and accomplish what is most important to them. As Co-CIO at Parcion, John's role is to enhance our investment philosophy and implementation process through research and analysis; and together with other members of the investment committee, direct firm-wide strategic allocation policies with a goal of always finding opportunities to add value and affect positive change for our clients and their portfolios.

Kathleen Boyle, CFP®
Director of Advisory, Principal

As a Senior Family Advisor and Advisory Department Team Lead at Parcion Private Wealth, Kathleen works with multi-generational families to identify their key values and goals, building strategic wealth management plans around those tenets. Kathleen brings expertise in advanced planning, including cash flow modeling, wealth transfer strategies, tax mitigation analyses, lending solutions and philanthropic planning, in addition to risk mitigation and portfolio optimization.

When partnering with clients who are preparing to sell a business or with families experiencing first-generation wealth, Kathleen understands that relationships come first. She focuses on building a successful team for her clients and working closely with their trusted advisors to form a cohesive and prudent plan for both prior to and following a transaction. She advocates for family meetings centered on education and transparency, often leading group exercises to help establish shared ideals and long-term ambitions, guiding families to create a legacy unique to them.

Kathleen grew up in Spokane, Washington, before earning her B.A. in finance at the University of Washington Michael G. Foster School of Business. She later obtained her Certified Financial Planner™ credential and is working toward her Certified Exit Planner™ designation, as well.

Prior to joining Parcion, Kathleen spent several years at UBS Private Wealth Management and Morgan Stanley.

Kathleen is passionate about informing and inspiring the next generation of young leaders, and is actively involved in several community organizations, including:

Jenny Nagai
Senior Client Service Specialist, Principal
Client Service Team Lead

Jenny has more than 20 years of experience assisting corporate executives, business owners, and private families, and has worked as a Private Wealth Partner for over 15 years.  As  leader of Parcion’s Client Service team, she manages all aspects of client service with a primary focus on operational and administrative functions. She is responsible for asset transfer, account opening and maintenance, banking and lending services as well as the coordination of the firm’s family office lifestyle resource network. Jenny also collaborates with each family’s trusted advisors to develop a comprehensive and unified strategy to meet each client’s unique needs and objectives. Her accomplishments include multiple awards in recognition of her dedication to professional client service.

Jenny earned a degree in psychology from the University of Washington. She is personally involved with many local charities, including Nikkei Concerns, Kay Abe’s Feed the Homeless Project and Big Brothers Big Sisters of Puget Sound. Jenny lives in Bellevue with her husband and son and enjoys traveling and attending many local sporting and theater events.

Tim Bond
Director of Investment Operations and Portfolio Management

With extensive experience building public and private security investment portfolios, Tim joins Parcion Private Wealth as a Director of Investment Operations and Portfolio Management. Tim started his career trading in the energy industry. He worked in fixed income research for an insurance company and for over ten years at JP Morgan Asset Management on the team that managed over $100 billion of assets in core, core plus and insurance fixed income strategies. Tim was the Chief Investment Officer at Gripman Investment Advisors and managed a multi-asset strategy focused on delivering superior risk adjusted returns. Most recently, he was a Private Investment Analyst & Portfolio Manager at Winthrop Capital Management.

Tim is passionate about delivering superior investment returns for clients and interacting with the Parcion team regarding potential opportunities and risks. Tim earned his Bachelor of Science degree from Purdue University and has an MBA in Finance from Indiana University. He is ranked as a top ten investor on the SumZero institutional investment portal, which is the world’s largest professional investor community.

Tim enjoys spending time with his wife Diane and their four children. In his free time, he enjoys biking, hiking, and golf and is hopeful that he might have one more Ironman triathlon left in him.

Jacob Mahoney
Director of Client Service

Jacob is a Senior Client Service Specialist at Parcion Private Wealth. He has over ten years of experience in wealth management support in New York City and the Seattle Area with additional background in banking and recruiting. Jacob’s philosophy to client service is driven by an emphasis on communication, and he enjoys developing relationships, learning new skills, and collaborating with colleagues to further enhance a focused team-based approach. Previously, Jacob was a senior associate at Coldstream Wealth Management and Wells Fargo Advisors.

Jacob earned his Bachelor of Arts from the University of Minnesota in the Twin Cities. In his free time, he likes traveling, visiting family, reading, staying fit, participating in improvisational comedy, and indulging in local cuisines whenever possible.

Lindsey Briggs
Director of Advanced Planning

As Director of Advanced Planning at Parcion Private Wealth, Lindsey Briggs oversees the firm’s work helping clients with a range of services, including trusts, tax planning and estate to generational wealth-transfer strategies. As an attorney, she has extensive experience in individual tax income planning, transfer tax planning, wills, trusts and estates, along with deep experience in the use of charitable trusts, life insurance trusts, asset protection trusts and perpetual dynasty trusts.

Prior to joining Parcion, Lindsey was an associate for several New York law firms, including Debevoise & Plimpton LLP, Blank Rome LLP, and Arnold & Porter Kaye Scholer LLP. After moving to Washington, she became of counsel for the Seattle law firm Stoel Rives LLP, Head of Estate Planning at Tomorrow Ideas, Inc., and a member of the Bellevue tax boutique Smith & Zuccarini, P.S.  

Lindsey received her Juris Doctor of Law from the University of Chicago Law School, where she served as articles editor for the Chicago Journal of International Law and as research assistant for Judge Richard A. Posner, Chief Judge, United States Court of Appeals for the 7th Circuit.  She also received a Master of Laws in Taxation from the New York University School of Law, with a specialty in estate and gift taxation.

Shanice Dawson
Operations Manager

With over ten years of experience in client relations and account management, Shanice provides an extremely detailed approach as Operations Manager with Parcion Private Wealth.   She enjoys organizing, streamlining daily tasks, and prides herself in her relationship building skills.  Prior to joining Parcion, Shanice was an account manager at a co-employer organization.  Among Shanice’s many professional accomplishments are earning her Kaizen Lean Six Sigma White and Yellow belts.
Born and raised in Billings, MT she is happy to now call Kirkland, WA home! In her free time, Shanice enjoys traveling to new places, wine tasting, hiking, and building Harry Potter Legos!

Kevin Penner, CFP®

As a Senior Family Advisor, Kevin works with multi-generational families to build strategic wealth management plans around client goals and objectives. Kevin brings expertise in advanced planning, including cash flow modeling, wealth transfer strategies, tax and risk mitigation analyses, lending solutions, philanthropic planning, and portfolio optimization.
Kevin puts an emphasis on the relationship when partnering with clients and their trusted advisors. He focuses on building a successful team that works closely together to provide a high level of service to clients. His team proactively discusses different planning opportunities and strategies to consider as tax and estate laws change.
Kevin grew up in Sammamish, Washington before earning his B.A. in Business Administration from the University of Nevada Las Vegas. He is a Certified Financial PlannerTM professional and also passed the Financial Industry Regulatory Authority (FINRA) Series 65 exam.
Prior to becoming an advisor, Kevin played golf professionally competing across the PGA, Korn Ferry, and McKenzie Tour.

Jim Moore, AAMS®, CMFC®
AAMS®, CMFC® & Senior Family Advsior

Jim Moore is a Senior Family Advisor and comes to us from Cornerstone Advisors with more than 23 years of combined experience in both institutional and retail investment management.  While at Cornerstone Jim was responsible for both the supervision of advisors, serving approximately $1.8B of over $4B in assets under management, which included some of the most complex families, as well as directly serving high and ultra-high net worth families in both Washington and Alaska.  In addition to his supervisory and client facing duties, Jim developed Cornerstone’s advisor training program and led the implementation and launch of the eMoney financial modelling software.   

Prior to Cornerstone, Jim worked at the Frank Russell Company in Tacoma, Washington where he held a variety of progressive positions during his tenure, including over 6 years in the Investment Management & Research group as one of only 5 people trusted to conduct contract negotiations with sub-advisors, as appointed by the board of directors. In addition to contract negotiations at Russell, Jim led large, diverse, international teams transitioning assets between sub-advisors, aided in the development and launch of new mutual fund products, led the development of an investment guideline monitoring system that monitored over 500 global investment guidelines covering multiple asset classes, and held lead roles in Russell’s securities lending and soft dollar programs.  Following his role at Russell, Jim also worked as an Investment Counselor at Fisher Investments where he advised and served over 170 families from around the country. 

He is a graduate from Arizona State University with a B.S. in Finance and holds the AAMS® and CMFC® designations from the College for Financial Planning along with his FINRA Series 65 certification. 

Jim was born and raised in Anchorage, Alaska and is married to his wife, Kelly.  They both reside in Redmond with their son, Aaron (17), and their rescued miniature schnauzer, Bentley.  He is a licensed private pilot, enjoys fishing, and almost anything outdoors.  In the community he participates in events for Friends of Youth, Treehouse, and volunteers his time on the Bear Creek golf team.

Stacee Kratovil, CFP®
Senior Family Advisor

Stacee began her career in wealth management in 2011 and has since held positions at national private banks in portfolio construction and wealth advisory capacities.  Prior to joining Parcion, Stacee was a Private Wealth Advisor at U.S. Bank Private Wealth Management, where she provided private banking, wealth planning, and advisory services to multi-generational high net worth families.

Stacee grew up in Stanwood, Washington before earning her B.A. in Business Administration, Finance from Washington State University – Carson College of Business.  She holds her Certified Financial Planner™ designation.  Stacee gives back to her alma mater by serving on the National Board of Advisors for the Carson College of Business, and holds a leadership position as Vice-Chair of the Finance department unit advisory board.  She uses this platform to raise awareness for and encourage female representation in the field of Finance through student engagement and speaking opportunities.

Stacee values spending time with her young family; she and her husband reside in Marysville, Washington with their two young daughters.  She enjoys camping, hiking, and traveling to the beautiful Pacific Northwest forests.

Shay Frederickson
Senior Client Service Specialist

Shay Frederickson has over 20 years of experience in the financial services industry where she has worked in many different areas from marketing to client service, most recently serving as a Senior Client Experience Associate at Brighton Jones, in Seattle. Shay is passionate about working directly with clients to explore ways to help them live more meaningful lives while providing exceptional client service at every turn. She thrives in a team-based environment and loves to actively learn from her colleagues and provide continued leverage to them. In her free time, she loves to watch her daughter Blair compete in gymnastics, work on home projects with her husband Mike and cheer on the Seahawks and Huskies, even when they aren’t winning.

Trenton Clark
Senior Client Service Specialist

With over 20 years of team leadership and customer service experience, Trenton Clark has a wealth of experience providing clients with exceptional service, delivering world-class client experiences by collaborating with all of our client advisor teams. He joins us after spending the last 4 years at Coldstream Wealth Management, with additional background in customer and leadership focused roles at Nintendo and Starbucks.


Trent was born and raised in the Pacific Northwest and is a graduate of Seattle University. Trent is a father to two sons, and an avid Seattle sports fan. In his free time, Trent enjoys photography, playing basketball, and coaching youth sports.

Tara McElroy
Marketing + Brand Manager

With a background in creative and graphic design Tara is helping to lead the strategy, development, and execution of the firm’s marketing, brand and event initiatives in order to deliver best-in-class client experience. Prior to joining Parcion, she worked for Brighton Jones as a Graphic Designer and Creative Marketing Manager. Tara is driven to work on the cutting edge, getting her energy through collaboration with others. 

In her free time, she enjoys diving into her passions of photography and fitness. She is a freelance portrait photographer and is a fitness instructor in Seattle. Simple pleasures include singing in the car, morning runs, and summer BBQs.

Spencer Sefcik
Executive Assistant

Spencer Sefcik is the Executive Assistant to the CEO at Parcion Private Wealth. Prior to joining Parcion, Spencer worked as an Executive Assistant at Amazon. She has built a successful career working as an Executive Assistant in the Technology Investment space, most notably for ICONIQ Capital and The Production Board LLC. Spencer graduated from Savannah College of Arts & Design in the Fall of 2020 with a Master of Arts in Luxury and Fashion Management. She holds a Bachelor in Business Administration with a concentration in Marketing from Loyola University of Maryland.

Spencer is born and raised in Seattle, WA. She previously lived in San Francisco for 5 years, but has now finally made her way back to her hometown! Spencer loves yoga, wine tasting, and exploring the city with her Chihuahua Mix Martini.

Lars Henrikson, CFP®
Family Advisor

Lars joined Parcion in 2021 after serving as an advisor for ultra-high net worth families at a Bellevue based RIA. As a family advisor, Lars helps families identify their goals, communicate with strategic partners, and create a financial plan that is custom to their situation. His passion and drive to provide the highest level of client service and experience is what brought him to join Parcion. Lars brings expertise in financial modeling, charitable giving, tax mitigation, and generational planning.


Lars grew up in Kirkland, Washington and earned a B.A in Business Administration with a dual concentration in finance and economics at Gonzaga University. He has obtained the Certified Financial Planner™ credential as well. Outside of work, Lars enjoys connecting with the outdoors via skiing, biking, and golfing.lar

Peter Besel, CFP®
Family Advisor

Peter is a Family Advisor at Parcion Private Wealth, in this role he is responsible for implementing and executing on complex and comprehensive financial plans for clients. Peter helps clients navigate their financial plans and ensure they are focused on achieving their goals. He has a passion to build deep relationships but also brings with him expertise in cash flow planning, charitable giving, education funding, and tax mitigation. 

Prior to his role as a Financial Advisor, Peter was at UBS Wealth Management and joined Parcion at its launch in 2019.

Peter holds a B.A. in Finance, University of Washington – Michael G. Foster School of Business. In his free time Peter likes wake surfing, travelling, hunting, seeing family, and rooting for the Huskies!

Chris McNabb, CFP®
Family Advisor

Chris joined Parcion in July of 2020 after graduating from the University of Oregon. As a Family Advisor, Chris works with families to identify their goals and create comprehensive financial plans unique to their situation. Chris has expertise in cash flow planning, education planning, charitable giving, and tax mitigation.

Chris grew up in West Linn, Oregon and earned a B.S. in Business Administration with a dual concentration in Finance and Marketing with a minor in Economics from the University of Oregon. Outside of work, Chris likes skiing, hiking, traveling, and watching Duck sports.

Peter Barnes
Family Advisor

Peter joined the Parcion team in 2022 as a family advisor. His ability to build and cultivate relationships is what led him to the firm, as well has his experience in both private banking and public accounting. In his role at Parcion, Peter will be working with new and existing clients to design and implement complex financial strategies catered to their specific needs. Some of Peter’s core areas of focus will be centered around tax mitigation, cash flow planning, charitable giving, and wealth transfer.

After graduating from Washington State University in 2017 with a B.A. in Accounting, Peter earned his Master’s Degree in the Science of Taxation from Gonzaga University. He worked in his hometown of Tacoma, WA. as a public account for two years before making the switch to private banking.  
Outside of the office you can find Peter on the golf course during summer, and on the ski slopes during winter. He enjoys cooking with his wife, and above all spending time with family.

McKenzie Oliger
Family Advisor

McKenzie joined Parcion as a Family Advisor in 2022. She comes with several years of experience at Morgan Stanley where she most recently held the title of Wealth Management Associate. As a Family Advisor, McKenzie helps families connect their ambitions with their reality. She uses her experience in advanced financial planning, tax mitigation and executive compensation strategies to build meaningful, data-driven wealth plans for the families she works with.

McKenzie is a graduate of the University of Redlands, where she received a Bachelor of Science in Global Business. While attending school she was also a four-year varsity athlete on the Women’s Soccer team. 

In her spare time, you can find McKenzie back on the soccer field or enjoying one of the many local restaurants in her West Seattle neighborhood.

Matt Christopher
Portfolio Analyst

Matt is a Portfolio Analyst at Parcion Private Wealth assisting in investment research and the management of client portfolios. With almost ten years of experience in investments, Matt utilizes his skills to provide comprehensive portfolio management that meets clients’ needs and helps multi-generational families achieve their personal and financial goals.

Prior to joining Parcion, Matt was with the City of London Investment Management Company as a Research Analyst and Desk Assistant. Earlier in his career, he spent time with Legacy Planning Partners in Pennsylvania as a Financial Planning Intern.

Originally from Kennett Square, PA, Matt made his way to Redmond, WA with his fiancé and two dogs in 2018. When he is not working, he enjoys traditional golf, disc golf, tennis, camping, and hiking. Since being in Washington, he has also been a volunteer with Serve Our Dog Areas (S.O.D.A) at Marymoor Park.

Quinn Snell
Portfolio Analyst

Quinn Snell is a Portfolio Analyst at Parcion Private Wealth assisting in investment research and the management of client portfolios. With almost 5 years of experience in the Asset Management industry, Quinn utilizes his skills to provide comprehensive portfolio management that meets clients’ needs and helps multi-generational families achieve their personal and financial goals.

Prior to joining Parcion, Quinn was with the SLC Management as an Analyst. Earlier in his career, he spent time with Parametric as a Senior Operations Associate.

As a Client Service Specialist, Kalena works alongside our advisory teams to help provide exceptional service to our clients. Driven by a love for fostering human connection and of being service to others, she seeks to deeply understand the needs and goals of not only Parcion’s clients, but also her teammates. Kalena joins Parcion with several years of experience in the wealth management industry, most recently working at Brighton Jones as an Employee Experience Associate.

Born and raised in Everett, WA, Kalena moved to New York to attend Fordham University, before returning to the PNW. She enjoys spending her free time being physically active, whether that’s hiking, biking or laps in the pool, traveling the world, and exploring the neighborhoods newest coffee shops with family and friends.

Jackie Shin
Operations Associate

Specializing in event planning, Jackie supports the Operations department in project management, marketing, and event coordination. Prior to joining Parcion, she has a background in the hospitality industry at luxury hotel brands as an Executive Office Manager, Sales Manager, Catering & Convention Service Coordinator, and Wedding Planner. Jackie received a B.A. in Communication with a focus in performance & cultural studies from California State University of Northridge.

Born and raised in Los Angeles, California, Jackie has a passion for music and loves to sing & perform. Her areas of interest include cooking, traveling, whiskey tasting and interior design.

Marley Martinez
Office Coordinator

Marley is the Front Office Coordinator at Parcion Private Wealth. Her role in the office includes reception, client & staff hospitality, and business administrative duties to ensure the office processes run smoothly. She manages employee schedules, daily office management, and plans employee/client-related events. Marley has many years of excellent customer service experience. Prior to joining Parcion, she worked as a marketing and events manager in Bellevue, Washington.

Marley enjoys traveling to new cities, wine tasting, discovering new restaurants, and working out. She hopes to own her own wine vineyard someday.

Emma Lea-Biles

Emma is an Associate at Parcion Private Wealth. She joined the team following her graduation from the Masters of Finance program at the University of Oregon. During this time, Emma built a strong interest in wealth management, as it combines her interest in finance, passion for client-facing roles and desire to make an impact on her community. Prior to receiving her Masters, Emma attained her undergraduate degree in Business Management from the University of Exeter, back in her home country of England. Emma enjoys hiking, trying new food and Pilates in her free time.

Owen Hymel

Owen is an Associate at Parcion Private Wealth. He joined the team following his graduation from the University of Oregon, receiving a degree in Business Administration focusing on Finance with a minor in Economics. Owen is passionate about wealth management and dedicated to supporting clients making optimal financial decisions to help them and their families put their wealth to work . Outside of work, Owen enjoys traveling, hiking, and playing basketball.
