


Dan McCollum
Dan was most recently Deputy Chief Investment Officer of Hirtle Callaghan, a leading OCIO with over $19 billion in assets under management. While there, he led the firm’s active manager selection, including public equity, private equity, hedge funds, credit and special opportunities. He was a senior member of Hirtle Callaghan’s Investment Committee, which is directly responsible for the firm’s asset allocation strategies and the selection of investment managers for client portfolios.
Prior to joining Hirtle Callaghan, Dan was one of two Managing Directors in Brown University’s Investment Office, where he co-managed Brown’s $7 billion endowment. He was also the Portfolio Manager for Brown’s direct investing program and had responsibility for co-investments. Prior to joining Brown’s Endowment, he was a portfolio manager for a family office investing globally in equity and debt securities. Dan started his career in investment banking at Deutsche Bank/Alex Brown and worked at Bank of America specializing in structured credit investments.
Dan is a Strategic Advisor to Investcorp and a Finance Fellow of the Aspen Institute, a global nonprofit organization committed to realizing a free, just, and equitable society.
Dan holds a B.A. in Economics from UC Berkeley and an M.B.A from Columbia Business School
